Building a Safer Workplace and Community with Defibrillators
October 2025
Nineteen months ago, we took an important step in strengthening the health and safety of our colleagues and visitors by installing defibrillators at all our sites. We are thankful that, to date, none of these life-saving devices have needed to be used - but their presence offers reassurance that, should the worst happen, we are prepared.
Linking into The Circuit
All our defibrillators are registered on The Circuit, the national defibrillator network developed by the British Heart Foundation in partnership with ambulance services. The Circuit connects defibrillators across the UK, ensuring that when someone dials 999 in an emergency, the nearest available device can be quickly located and directed to them. By registering our devices, we’re not only protecting our own teams - we’re also contributing to a wider safety net that could help save lives in our communities.
Awareness and Responsibility
We take awareness of CPR and defibrillation seriously. Sudden cardiac arrest can happen to anyone, at any time, and the chances of survival drop rapidly without immediate intervention. A defibrillator, used alongside CPR, can dramatically improve outcomes.
That’s why we want to remind everyone of the vital role we can all play in creating a safer workplace and community. Taking a few moments to learn the basics of CPR or to familiarise yourself with the location of the nearest defibrillator could make all the difference in an emergency.
Our Commitment
Health and safety is not just a box to tick - it is part of our responsibility to each other. By installing and registering defibrillators, and by raising awareness of their importance, we’re helping to build a culture of care and readiness, both within our business and beyond.
