EBB Buys HVB!
September 2004
Elliott Baxter & Co Ltd are delighted to announce that they have just purchased rival paper merchant H V Beever, their second acquisition this year.
"This is of major importance to us and keeps us at the forefront of UK paper merchanting." said EBB's Managing Director, Tim Elliott.
The acquisition will bring EBB's total sales tonnage to 100,000 tonnes and will add a further three Branches to their existing network of seven. For the first time, EBB's will have a presence in the Midlands with Beever's branch near Birmingham.
"We are very excited about the strengths that EBB's can bring us and we are really looking forward to working together" said Godfrey Beever, whose family have been involved in the business since it started in 1921.
It is a logical move for EBB and increases their Independent challenge to the big multinationals as EBB continues to offer a high level of service and personal attention to their growing customer base.
