EBB Paper achieves ISO 14001
December 2008
During November 2008 Elliott Baxter was successfully awarded certification to ISO 14001. This is in addition to the ISO 9001, FSC and PEFC certification it already holds. These certificates are valid for all of its 11 sites across the UK.
ISO 14001 is an international standard that specifies a process for controlling and improving a company's environmental performance.
Matthew Elliott, Business Operations Director said "The fact that we achieved ISO 14001 for all 11 of our sites within a few months is a fantastic achievement. We now have third party certification to show that our quality and environmental management systems are robust."
James Gibb, the lead auditor from AJA Registrars said in his final report "Personnel at all distribution centers were friendly and professional. There was a high level of awareness of quality and environmental issues and there is a consistency of approach throughout the organization."
